John T. Demel P.E.

John T. Demel, P.E., is Professor of Engineering Graphics and Faculty Coordinator for First-Year Engineering Program at The Ohio State University. He holds the degrees of Ph.D. and M.S. in Metallurgy from Iowa State University and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Nebraska—Lincoln. Previously he taught at Texas A&M University and Savannah State College.

Professor Demel has co-authored texts in computer graphics with Professor Miller, in Engineering Design with four other authors, and authored or co-authored over 30 publications on engineering graphics and first year education. He is active in the American Society for Engineering Education.
