Aaron R. Hansen ASID, CDT

Biography

Aaron Hansen is a Certified Interior Designer in Minnesota and Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from NDSU. He is part of the Education Design Group at LHB (a 160 person multidiscipline firm; www.LHBcorp.com) in Duluth, Minnesota.

Aaron’s focus is creating flexible, functional, fun learning and teaching environments for Pre K-12, secondary students and staff. Mr. Hansen works with user groups to: review programing needs and to create space plans; review, select, specify and coordinate new furniture while incorporating existing furniture when appropriate; and selecting finishes to create dynamic environments.

Aaron also provides construction administration to ensure the design is properly executed. As a Construction Document Technologist (CDT), Aaron has had supplemental training regarding best practices in construction document development and use. He also understands the need for durable, low-maintenance finishes and furnishings and the importance of materials that support healthy indoor air quality.

Aaron is a member of Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA) and the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and also sits on the Board of Visitors at NDSU for the college of Human Development and Education. Mr. Hansen has used Revit Architecture almost exclusively for the last five years on several large education projects; two of which have been featured by Autodesk during the installer slideshow for Autodesk Revit Structure 2010 and 2011.
