Biography
Dr. Paul Kurowski received his MSc and PhD in Applied Mechanics from Warsaw University of Technology and completed postdoctoral work at Kyoto University. He is Professor Emeritus in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to joining academia, he spent two decades in industry, working as a design and research engineer in sectors including heavy equipment, automotive, and defense. His teaching has included Finite Element Analysis, Computer-Aided Engineering, Product Design, Dynamics of Machines, Mechanical Vibrations, and Reverse Engineering.
Dr. Kurowski has published numerous books and technical papers and has delivered professional development seminars for the Society of Automotive Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Professional Engineers Ontario, Parametric Technology Corporation, Rand Worldwide, SOLIDWORKS Corporation, and other organizations.
