Frederick D. Meyers P.E.

Biography

Frederick D. Meyers, P.E., is Faculty Emeritus at The Ohio State University. He served for 17 years as an Associate Professor of Engineering Graphics and has continued to teach beginning and advanced graphics during retirement. Before joining the faculty at Ohio State, he served as a project engineer, engineering manager, and technical director with Owens-Corning Corporation over a period of 30 years. He also served as an engineering officer in the U.S. Air Force. His early teaching experience was as an Instructor in Engineering at the A&M College of Texas. He holds B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from Ohio State.

Professor Meyers is an active member of the American Society for Engineering Education in which he served as Program Director and later Chair of the Engineering Design Graphics Division. He and the other authors have presented many papers on engineering education at national and international conferences. He was named Ohio Engineer of the Year in 1972. He is a member of Pi Tau Sigma and Tau Beta Pi, engineering honorary societies.
