Analyzing mechanisms
- Get familiar with the system. Are there any
- fixed axes/points?
- points of known velocity?
- geometric constraints?
- Assign angular velocity directions.
- Analyze the velocities.
- Start at a fixed or known velocity point and work outward.
- Sometimes more than one relationships for a velocity can be found.
- Apply known information and geometric constraints.
- Analyze the accelerations in a similar manner as the velocities.
