Sridhar S. Condoor

Biography

Sridhar S. Condoor received his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. He received M.S. from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and B.S. from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India. His research interests include many areas of Design Theory and Methodology, Computer Aided Design, Cognitive Science, and Mechatronics.

Condoor is the co-author of Innovative Conceptual Design: Applications: Theory and Application of Parameter Analysis (Cambridge University Press). He conducted several short-courses for both faculty and practicing engineers on design techniques. He coauthored several papers on various facets of design including design management, design theory, design principles, cognitive aspects of design and design education.

Condoor currently teaches at Saint Louis University – Parks College of Engineering & Aviation. He initiated the multidisciplinary design program with a strong emphasis on industry participation at Saint Louis University. He works with a diverse range of industries in creating new products, modeling existing products to understand the underlying physics, and developing automated manufacturing systems.
